Mysteries of the Immobile Uncovered

by animalworkss

There’s nothing inviting about stiffly-tucked sheets;
Nothing enticing about a bed structured by tidiness;
No ma’am, just give me a jumbled-up mess, instead,
And within the span of time needed to separate all the blinks from the nods
I’ll have made said space my own; and there I will comfortably lie,
In wait for the first ray of truth to stretch itself across the dawning horizon,
Tossing about wild dreams, plotting my next move…
